Summer Rowing – Registration Opens Tomorrow!

Set your clocks and get ready to row! Registration for summer rowing opens tomorrow, June 24, 2020 at 8 AM.

The first four-week summer rowing session will begin on July 6, 2020 and run through July 31, 2020.  The second four-week summer rowing session will begin on August 3, 2020 and run through August 28, 2020.  The cost of a four week program is $150.00 per rower per session.

Please be aware that all sessions will be restricted to rowing singles or same household doubles due to the current health crisis.  We are doing our best to follow guidelines set by USRowing while still offering time on the water.  Sessions will be split into groups based on skill level, and you should expect to row with the same people in your pod during the entire session.

The following options are available:

  • Modified (Beginner/Novice) – Middle School Rowers with less than 1 year experience, or no experience with singles. Focus will be on basic technique and skills in a single.
    • Friday & Saturday, 8 AM to 10 AM with Coach Kristen
  • Modified (Intermediate) – Middle School Rowers with more than 1 year experience, or successful time spent in singles previously. Focus on improving technique with moderate workouts.
    • Monday & Wednesday, 6 PM to 8 PM with Coach Kristen and Coach Brody
  • Varsity (Beginner/Novice) – Varsity Rowers with less than 1 year experience, or no experience in singles. Focus will be on basic technique and skills in a single.
    • Tuesday & Friday, 6 AM to 8 AM with Coach Tyler and Coach Kristen
  • Varsity (Intermediate) – Varsity Rowers with more than 1 year experience, or successful time spent in singles previously. Focused on improving technique with moderate workouts.
    • Tuesday & Thursday, 6 PM to 8 PM with Coach Kristen and Coach Brody
  • Varsity (Advanced) – Varsity Rowers with more than 1 year rowing experience and having completed at least one race in a single. Focus will be advanced technique with hard intensity of workouts.
    • Wednesday & Saturday, 6 AM to 8 AM with Coach Tyler and Coach Kristen

Please contact Coach Kristen at kmattice@bhrow.com if you are unsure of which skill group you belong in, if you have a “household” you can register where we can put you in a double, or have any questions.  Space will be limited due to equipment available and will be on a first come first served basis within registration.  We will currently only be opening registration for the first session, but assure everyone there will be a second session registration opening in Mid-July.
